Type Locality and Naming

Named after the native Subashi, SE Fergana. G.Kh. Salibaev, 1989f. (Decision of the Commission on the Paleogene System of Central Asia RMSK, 1989). Stratotype near native Subashi. Corresponds to the lower part of the Rishtan Fm, layers with Ostrea simplex.

Synonym: Subashinskaya Suite, Субашинская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Marls, sandstones, limestones. Thickness up to 8 m. Known as the IY oil-bearing bed.

Lies conformably on the Turkestan Gr

It is conformably overlain by the Nefteabad Fm
